On Sunday 5th October the Leicester Lions under 9s played at home against Burton RFC. The sun was shining and spirits were high. It was good to get the opportunity to play a few games and all the team thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it was the first game of the season, both teams played very well. Lions newcomer George Clay embraced the game and scored some brilliant tries. Archie Briggs threw himself into the game and showed great team spirit. The team gelled together well and showed some promising skills. Great runs from Jack Evans, James Coultas, Joe Mason, Adam Bates and Euan Davies. Tries also scored by Billy Payne and Harry Lynch. Keep up the hard work boys!! Thanks to the Burton coach for refereeing the matches and for the superb show from Burton RFC.
