As the season drew to a close, it was time for presentations and awards. After a hard season building the mini section, with great success, we opted for a BBQ and bouncing castle, ice cream van etc at the home of the lions, and our special guest leicester tigers and England rugby star Louis Deacon. After an hour of training, It was time for our presentation and starting us of with a thank you to the club and parents was the chairman Melvin ( lovely speech by the way) Then on with the awards! Each and every one has shown excellent signs of improvement across all areas, but collecting the " most improved Player" was Dylan Olley with improved and faultless displays in all training sessions, well done Dylan. In line for player of the season for quiet some time was Daniel Ayriss, it was decided early on in the season that this young lad has so much to offer, good leadership, excellent awareness, an all round excellent player, so a big well done Daniel. The day was rounded off by a game of tag rugby for the mums vs dads! Which i think all enjoyed!
So a massive thank you to all that has supported the minis rebuild from the kids to the parents, to the committee, to my fellow coaches. I have had a brilliant season and have made some great friends along the way. I feel were in for an excellent 2013/14 season where I feel things will be alot bigger and better. Look forward to seeing you all at our open day in the summer (dates to be confirmed)
Thanks again
Craig and all the mini Team
